Ryan Winterstern

Ryan Winterstern is a veteran film producer with more than 15 years of experience across all facets of the motion picture industry. Known for his versatility in an ever-evolving marketplace, he has amassed over 40 producing credits and has led the development, financing, production, and delivery of some of the most successful independent features of the past decade, spanning a wide range of genres.

 

Ryan began his career at Lakeshore Entertainment, where he worked on notable titles including The Age of Adaline and The Boy. He later served as President of Production at Highland Film Group, where he secured sales rights for films such as Becky, We Summon the Darkness, and Inheritance, while deepening his expertise in international sales and distribution.

 

Over the past five years, Ryan has operated as an independent producer on more than 20 feature films, including Land of Bad, Bandit, The Surfer, and Dracula. During this period, he has overseen approximately $250 million in film financing, managed on-the-ground production logistics, collaborated closely with creatives in material development, and negotiated A-list talent agreements and complex bank closing documentation.

 

At UMG, Ryan leverages his diverse skill set and extensive industry relationships to expand the company’s global footprint by creating new financial opportunities across sales, production, and distribution.
