
Chris Taylor
Legal Counsel
Christopher W. Taylor is a seasoned entertainment attorney and executive with over 20 years of experience in film finance, distribution, and legal affairs. He has served as General Counsel and in-house legal advisor for numerous motion picture companies and individuals, playing a key role in structuring complex film transactions. In addition to his legal expertise, he has held senior business and creative leadership positions at international entertainment companies, including Largo Entertainment, JVC Entertainment, Solar Pictures, Columbia Pictures, Nippon Herald, and Kadokawa Pictures, living and working in Singapore, Sydney, and Los Angeles.
Throughout his career, Chris has been instrumental in financing, producing, and distributing major motion pictures, including arranging financing for John Wick and producing the $100 million Point Break remake. He has also represented buyers and sellers in significant film library transactions, handling financing and negotiation of transaction documents. His current representative clients include Lakeshore and Village Roadshow Entertainment Group, where he drafts and negotiates over 100 distribution agreements annually with domestic buyers and foreign distributors. He also works with AMBI Distribution Corp. on corporate and transactional matters, as well as a range of writer, director, actor, and producer clients.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Chris practiced law at a major Los Angeles firm, specializing in business litigation and corporate transactions. He is a member of the California Bar Association and holds degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A.), Brigham Young University Law School (J.D.), and the University of Southern California’s Peter Stark Producing Program (M.F.A.).
